My Angels

James and Madilyne are the loves of our life....they are just so individual. We love watching them interact together, they show a love for each other already...its really endering to watch them play together and to see the love they have for one another.

Fun at the Duluth Festival Center

We had fun playing in the fountains. I think mostly James loved it. Madilyne liked getting a little wet but if we tried to get closer then a foot she started to cry. She really is about the sounds....

Tybee Island GA

We made it to the coast line while we were in savannah as well. We very rarely get a chance to see the ocean, Madilyne hated it...I think it was the sound of the waves she didn't like. James we couldn't keep out of it. We only stayed for about 30 minutes as it was hot in the car and Grandma Briggs couldn't walk to the ocean front. It is nothing like the west coast beaches where you park and there you are, you have to walk at least 50 yards to get to the sand, and then another 10 yards or so to the shore line. It was low tide when we were there, and there was this interesting little bar of little shells just sitting there, it looked like rocks from standing up but when you got close you could see it was a bunch of little shells.

Savannah here we come!

We went to Savannah on a business trip. We had to shoot a wedding, we sadly only had enough time and money to spend a couple days, but we did have fun there. Lots of pretty squares to play in, and fun things to look at. My favorite picture of the kids that day was this one of them looking at the fountain. Madilyne looked like she just wanted to jump in and James would have been more then happy to help her. I see my kids growing up so fast and it makes me happy and sad all at once. Happy that they are growing and thriving and learning new things every day, but sad because they are no longer my "babies". I am greatful I have been entrusted to keep them safe, and look forward to the many memories ahead!

Madilyne turns 1

Madilyne had her first birthday party today, four days early because we have a wedding out of townnext week. Grandma Briggs, Uncle Spencer, Layla, Glenn & Michael all were there. She got lots of fun toys, the really great kitchen play thing from Layla Glenn & Michael and she loves it. She also got her first cabbage patch kid from Grandma Briggs, a peekablocks hippo from us and is getting a new carseat that Uncle spencer helped pay for. Grandma and Grandpa Humecky got her a baby doll with a blanket. She had fun and I can't believe she is getting so big!

Madilyne and James sick as can be...

Madilyne and James were very sick this past three weeks. I have had sick kids for a MONTH. I am so done with the sickies for a long long long time.

Madilyne was in the hospital for almost a week. She had a bacterial blood infection, but that's the extent of what we know. Her WBC was 35,000 normal is like 8,000 I think. She wouldn't eat, or drink anything, and only would let me hold her for 3days straight. She had a high fever that motrin and tylenol wouldn't keep down without being right ontop of the new dose for those three days. She almost died. Brian's parents were planning to fly out here for a funeral. I am so glad I got to bring my little girl home and she is doing good now. She lost 2 1/2 lbs. She is back up to 18lbs now, but how scary it was to see her dwindle away.

James was sick for about a week. His highest fever was 106.2 and that was after motrin, not sure what he had either, we think some sort of virus. He wasn't near as sick as Madilyne though...So glad I didn't have to do another round in the Hospital.

James has a birthday

Well, James is 4 . He had a scoobydoo party at Stevie B's Pizza. Was supposed to be at the park but we thought we'd get rained out. How wrong I was. But we all had fun. I can't believe that he is 4 already. I still remember bringing him home from the hospital. How the time flys...
